In another world first AFL house has been widely praised for inventing international sport with their bold move to take a game to China.

Port Adelaide head honcho David 'call me Kochie' Koch said from Shanghai, "This is a great year for AFL, first we invented womans sport and now we have invented international sport. I can't believe no one thought of this before us." Melbourne AFL types all nodded in unison and patted each other on the back after hearing the incredible news.

AFL boss Gilligan was unavailable for comment as he is in New Zealand helping authorities trying to locate local AFL players. Kochie said, "Gilligan said there are 30,000 AFL players in NZ but no one has ever been able to locate them. So he's gone over there on a humanitarian mission to help local Police with a search and rescue operation."

AFL house put out a media release stating that in this year of breakthroughs they have a very smart man from Collingwood working on something they cryptically describe as 'splitting the atom'. More news on this development when it comes to hand.
