Toronto Wolfpack have posted on their facebook page that the NARL will be up and running soon as will their web page.
The “soft” start to the league will between 4 teams, Toronto, New York, DC and Atlanta and will be played in both Canada and the US. Schedule to be announced later.

Maybe this time.

From the USA RL website
“The Jacksonville Axemen have won the 2022 USA Rugby League (USARL) championship with a 36-12 victory over the Tampa Mayhem in Jacksonville, Florida.

The match doubled up as the South Conference championship and USARL national championship.

It is the Axemen’s fourth national title. Their previous titles were won in 2010, 2012 and 2018.

The win capped off an undefeated season for the Axemen, who can now lay claim to the mantle of being one of the most successful clubs in the US in recent times.”

4 teams
6 game season.
Top 2 play off for the South Conference championship.
Also counted for the national championship because the northern conference did not start.

The North American Rugby League which was going to include Toronto wolfpack and the Ottawa Aces has missed its advertised July launch and no further information (bar coming soon) is published.

Sydney Football Stadium punters offered refunds after faulty seats mar NRL openers.
Planned obsolescence for future crowds?

you could practically say..

the AFL new deal starts 2025
and the yet to be negotiated NRL new deal begins. 2027

with NRL being 18 teams soon.

the NRL def increase its Tv rights by 2027
especially with inflation

The NRL would need to get a higher price - it will still not match the AFL's - AFL is just worth more to the broadcasters on so many levels.

Not without adding a new team.

Why would the broadcasters pay more than the contract they already have to 2027. NRL deal ends at the end of 2027.

that is what i ment,

NRL will have another team (team 18 by next broadcast deal)

18th team, 9th game (inflation) NRL will grow by 100mill annually with ease by next deal

it SHOULD, whether it will is another story. NRL admins have been pretty incompetent with this sort of thing - with or without News
