The USA being awarded the Union World Cup for 2032 does not auger well for the future of league in the US, especially after the withdrawal of the 2025 League World Cup.
If they were smart, rugby league should play off the Union World Cup in the USA
and get the benefits of the promotion of UNION as a whole "Rugby"

Union will take the limelight of course but the game can get some positives there way

in the whole scheme of things, I actually do not want Rugby League to be successful in USA
because it would Annulate the Australian NZ and English / French Leagues for money and players.

I prefer league to be played in half to dozen nations around the world and that is it.
Much the same reason I am content for Australian rules to remain a purely Australian game.
I've no doubt it will :(/
Australia's number 1 sport RUGBY LEAGUE. Preferred by more Australians than any other

Euro Cup 2022 Tournament Review
June 22, 2022
The 2022 Euro Cup saw 24 national teams journey to Edinburgh, Scotland for Europe’s biggest nine-a-side Aussie Rules competition. In extremely windy conditions, 60 matches took place across four pitches to crown the 2022 Euro Cup men’s and women’s champions.
With over 400 players, coaches, volunteers, umpires and fans present, Edinburgh Leisure and Edinburgh Academical Sports Ground were packed to the rafters, an incredible spectacle in the wake of the pandemic.
The tournament itself saw England competing in both the men’s and women’s Grand Finals. The Dragonslayers found themselves up against the German Eagles in the men’s and in the women’s, the Vixens faced off against the always formidable Irish Banshees.
In the women’s, despite an arm-wrestle of a first half the Banshees proved far too strong for the Vixens, winning in a dominant display and completing a Euro Cup three-peat. The Irish side ran away with it in the second half, winning by 33 points and conceding just one behind.
Over in the men’s, the England Dragonslayers managed to hold off an inspired German side whose celebrations and team spirit were commendable. As with the Irish in the women’s, the win marked a three-peat of Euro Cup wins for the Dragonslayers, who took out the Grand Final comfortably, winning 53 – 8.

Final Standings
Women’s Competition:
1. Ireland
2. England
3. Scotland
4. Wales

Pretty much most if not all of them in accordance with the rules of the tournament.
The Euro Cup (formerly known as the EU Cup) is an international Australian rules football tournament played between European national teams. Played under 9-a-side Footy rules, the tournament was first held at Chiswick in London, England in 2005, created by Australian Football International. A women's cup has been played between more than two teams since the 2014 tournament.
The Euro Cup is an event hosted annually by AFL Europe.
Eligibility rules are very strict compared those of other international competitions and are similar to the AFL International Cup. Generally speaking players must be a citizen of the country they represent and have lived there through roughly middle school and high school ages (when most players usually learn the key skills required).

IC criteria ensures that expatriate Australians, Australians with overseas ancestry and those who moved to Australia at a young age are ineligible to compete.

International Rugby League statement on United States governance reforms

IRL chair Troy Grant has welcomed the finalisation of a new governance model for rugby league in the United States and urged all stakeholders within the game to help implement the changes.

The reforms follow an independent governance review of the game in the United States, and the IRL and USARL have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at enabling rugby league to unify and stabilise in the world’s largest sports market.

The changes will see the establishment of a new board to oversee a federation built on strong good governance principles to lead the growth of the game in the United States.

A Transitional Commission including Americas Rugby League Regional Manager Romeo Monteith, on behalf of the IRL, will be in place until a new board is elected under the terms of amended by-laws, with elections to take place no later than February, 2023.

Grant said: “This is an opportunity for all of those involved in rugby league in the USA to seize and help shape the future direction of the game.

“The USA is of great significance for international rugby league and the IRL is pleased that a good governance model is now in place to help the game grow thrive domestically.

“However, for rugby league in the United States to get to where we all know it can, and should be, requires all stakeholders to play their role and work together.

“On behalf of the IRL, I strongly encourage all within the game in the United States to come together and take part in the democratic process now in place under these governance reforms. Without that participation, this good governance reform cannot be implemented.”

The new governance structure was developed after wide-ranging and detailed consultation with more than 30 stakeholders across all levels of the game in the United States and analysis of other American national federations.

The reforms proposed by the IRL were endorsed at a recent meeting of the USARL board and the two parties have now signed an MOU that paves the way to introduce the changes.
