Please say a little prayer for the Southerners before you go to sleep tonight - there doing it a bit tough at the moment
The AFL has signed a significantly reduced broadcast agreement with the Seven Network and Foxtel.

The deal with the AFL's free-to-air partner, Seven, is worth $730 million and extends the current five-year deal by two years until the end of 2024, at an annual rate of $146 million.
It is the first time since 1971 that the AFL has signed a reduced broadcast agreement.

Fred wrote: Thu Dec 30, 2021 10:40 am Wow - go 7. So the AFL Grand Final was the number 1 programme for the year? And No 1 winter sport. How do they base that No 1 Winter Sport thing - does it include AFLW - or just the AFL - and how did the NRL fair? Do they count SoO and Tests in the NRL count or are they events? I'll have to read the article now - too many questions that don't add up to what is written on here re: NRL being the most popular?? Maybe it is a NRL - SoO distinction thing.

no lockdown in Melbourne this year>> DOWN DOWN>>
do not see it hitting almost 1.7mill Melbournians and another 500k Victorians (2.2mill total)
for the poor buggers in 300 day lockdown. like previous 2 Grand Finals.
