Reality is more people watched Rl than AFL in 2016

You seem to have massive issues with reality .

A massive 11k turned out to see the NRLs first game of the season, with the premiers playing the largest NRL club.

Yep, we didnt have to wait long for the NRL to embarrass itself at all

Lol that's because the nrlol schedules its games around prime time, not early afternoons or games overlapping or games show in single states spazza

It the AFL had a schedule like the nrlols they would be far dither ahead.

Isn't it funny how nearly every time both codes went head to head with games the AFL flogged the nrlol on most occasions. Look at the finals series ffs, look at the broadcast deals, the AFL kept full control, while the nrlol did t & sold every to try and get close to the AFL

What was with the crowd. I am sure ratings would be great ... but those crowds must be an issue for the nrl. I mean this was the premiers playing the nrls biggest club.

Don't they have free to air matches Friday night, Saturday Night and half the Thursday night? So what other lame, half arsed excuse have you got? :(/

How so? With an insane rant?
That's not showing any one up it's just your delusional opinion

a basic example is when comparing games going head to head in exact same time slots in that AFL wins hands down on most occasions over the nrlol

Bit of course that won't suit your argument you'll pull random figures out your arse to suit your argument

Yes they do pissy cat, but you'll find that only accounts for half of the games of the round

Funny you mention those time slots, because the AFL regularly wins those!

Lol firstly
Ask wookie which code had the most viewers last year?
He has posted on here before where RL won .

Secondly you made a claim yet again about NRL in prime time.
So please show me where the NRL games are on in prime time & AFL isn't .

Thanks .

Just about every comparable game last year the AFL beat the NRL in ratings. Pretty much every finals game. Pretty much every Friday night game. These are the true indicators of popularity, not some meaningless season tally which only really compares TV schedule vs TV schedule.

You only have to look at your opening game's figures. Barely over 1.1m TV audience and 11k crowd for your opening game involving the premiers vs your only power club. Those arent the figures of the most popular Australian sport

Dude I've been there many times debating this topic with the tin foil hat brigade! It's like pissing in to a wind

They just ignore all the facts and keep ranting on with their opinions, to put their little man syndrome at ease
