That's a lot of people not being counted!
Rugby League, the dominant force in Australian sport!

yep pretty much the only way to put it..

and tv ratings for all sports are affected by the large amount of pubs and sporting clubs across NSW
with figures i displayed last year>>

NSW doubling Victoria
and QLD even beating Victoria.
How many pubs are in NSW and how many in Vic?

Total Hotel Pubs & Bars

(i) By State:
NSW 2052
QLD 1251
VIC 1092
SA 658
WA 595
TAS 281
NT 72
ACT 32

and these figures exclude
Leagues Clubs, RSL Clubs, Sports Clubs (which LIC referred to as mini casinos) lol
which NSW eclipses all states of all 3 forms of these entertainment facilities.
lets say there are 20 people watching the entire game at every single venue, (which is VERY generous) thats 40,000 in NSW and 20,000 in Victoria. This doesnt even come close to accounting for the difference in ratings. In fact it probably doesnt make up the difference in higher attendance for AFL games in Melbourne. AFL fans are at the games, not watching in the pub

You haven't been in any pubs or clubs in NSW for SOO or GF have you?? They all advertise the game massively and have special drink/meal deals and giveaways throughout the games. 20 ppl per venue is a joke pal. You need to do better.

I go down to the local of a Tuesday night for tea a bit . There always always 30-40 eating in the dining section at any one time. With that many again at the bar. Its a long way from being a large pub, its probably not even a medium sized pub. Its not a football night but, even then, more than half would be watching the replay of the weekends game or Paul Kununts show . Throw in clubs (for which there would be similar numbers) and I think its pretty safe to say that when it comes to TV Rugby League is the dominant force. :thumbleft:

firstly, not all NSW towns are RL fans only, southern NSW has an AFL following. Furthermore, people sitting in a bar socialising, playing pool, eating and talking is hardly what I'd call a 'viewer'.

20 people.... maybe for a 2pm sunday afternoon game..

Friday Nights and saturday nights
pubs and hotels are packed with footy on every screen.

let alone Leagues clubs>> especially for the big games

When Canterbury made the Grand Final in 2014
there was 8k watching the game in canterbury leagues.

please also note> its a massive thing to do in sydney to watch Rugby league at the Pub / Hotel etc..

because there is 5 FOX exclusive games per week.. out of 8 and hundreds of thousands of fans across the state
do not have FOX..

Most Ratings in 2017, Rugby League and AFL went head and rugby league was a clear cut winner! Things might be a little different in your pretend world LOL, but in the real world - The Most, The Highest and the best Average    . Imagine if we had a similar number of pubs and clubs. Wow, the mind just boggles at the thought.

i know you think match v match comparisons are unfair, but thats the logical way to demonstrate which code is more popular on TV when the schedules are so different.

Oh Jesus
The different schedule crap again .

You have more games
MOre games on FTA .
Games targeted into home markets
Whatever you lose by the negatives of your scheduling is more than compensated by the positives .

You lose ..yet you just can't accept that.
TLPG 🤣liar extraordinaire
You should thank me for publishing your IP

and I never published any actual IP. That's it.
🤣
I was a mod at the time .
