Yet they still managed to record a loss of 2.6m and 95% of the clubs are in debt. NRL executives seem to be lining their pockets while everyone else fights for the scraps.

figures can be misinterpreted
because while it may seem as a loss
it does not account for the money being spent in the game..

the NRL is actually making a hell of a lot more money than they did in previous years outside the broadcast deal
but there also spending a lot more money also..

It has to take into account money spent on grassroots technology improving services etc etc etc ...

Good on them, I'm actually envious of how well the NRL are doing. Wish the ARU were that smart. Lets just hope they don't go down the ARU rout and forget about the grassroots and just worry about make lining pockets.

Oh my
Typical rant about SOO
You fucking braindead flog .SOO is part of Rl in AUST.
It's part of our season
It's run by the NRL
Yet in fumble world it doesn't count because in fumble world SOO does not exist .
Looks like the yearly frothing & foaming is starting early

"It sounds like a joke, but the ACT Brumbies are considering making an offer to bring 43-year-old dual international Andrew Walker out of retirement to bolster their injury-hit squad for the Super Rugby season."
