Looks like Essendon is in the same position as the struggling Brisbane Lions who are in debt 13 million.
Is a huge contrast to Cronulla Sharks who pleaded guilty early when investigated by asada and took the penalty. I am pretty sure they recorded an operating profit for the first time in years.
I guess it pays not to mess with asada.

Essendon will easily cover the loss over the years, they have one of the highest football related revenue out of every club in Australia, despite being a basket case for over a decade and have built and payed for a new $30 million dollar facility.

Looks like you have no idea. Not every NRL club is in debt. Although a lot are, none have a debt as high as the Brisbane Lions or ESSENDEBT BLOWOUTS.

As for the new facility, a lot of that was funded from club donations. NOT PROFITS.

moron, an NRLOL club has to find $10 million dollars after the $10 million from the NRLOL through distribution money
this money should easily be raised through sponsorship, gate receipts & memberships!

FFS GWS or GCS even can raise more

Leagues clubs exist for the purpose of supporting the local and national rugby league clubs, you idiot. Its almost the entire reason they were created the way they are. Hell some of them are so integrated they report the club revenue in the leagues club reports. And then theres the leagues clubs that are non existent....

yes there are some ponts to be made about some revenues when compared to AFL clubs - membership and gate revenues are likely to be smaller due to smaller attendances and less history, than an AFL club, but the league club issue is not one of those things in question.
