the Victorian Police having an aggreement with the AFL that if a player breaks the law .., including serious assault & rape allegations ...aka the Skilda situation of a few years back ... it gets covered up

You pulled out everything that AFL players have done in that short post.
NRL players have done way more than that - that we know of given the clubs have a bad habit of covering things up! Especially in Sydney!
For every single AFL controversy there's about five NRL.

One or two incidents, and it's St.Kilda doing the covering up - not the cops.
