Just fucking accept you are wrong. Again.

if I want verification of something Ill get it - its not like I dont have the data ready to hand. Besides If one of us AFL folks said something like this and were wrong, well fuck me, we'd never hear the end of it.

The AFL owes the men’s players a staggering $55 million as a result of deals struck in 2017 and during the COVID-19 pandemic, an amount that is due to be paid to players’ retirement funds by the end of May.

lol

That was my assumption that the AFL would have to dip into the Loan they have (which is not quoted how much)

the Loan i talk of is the Stadium Purchase and Covid assistance..
as i believe but not 100% certain they have enough to pay for it Before the end of MAY this year.

I think it is a great initiative - not sure why they do it as traditionally, crowds have not been an issue - and it has been a thing for a while now. Maybe July is traditionally a lower month so encouraging more families to go - with a paying adult?? Who knows, but a good initiative.

couldn't hurt the NRL to do it - but as the above is an AFL directive - can the same be done with NRL clubs who decide their own prices at their stadium/games - don't they? Happy to be corrected.

The NRL isn't in the grip of a cwowd cwsis like the derps & misses is dopey , with our attendances tracking as just about on par with pre covid levels & if we had the warriors playing at home & a normal amount of wet matches instead of the wettest autumn in recorded history ... we'd be ahead of 2019

However, if you use your logic (an oxymoron…named after you?) the previous round (13) the average for 2019 was 28,948, whilst the 2022 average was 40,506 close to 12,000 difference means it made a lot of difference?
Can’t judge any thing by one round otherwise I could argue the rugby is in the doldrums because their round 13 average in 2019 was 15,297 against the 2022 average of 10,745, a massive difference….
What does it all mean…that crowd averages can be different for different rounds and different for the same rounds in different years? Well duh!! So what.
It is the yearly average that counts and AFL will always be in front.
