Sydney Swans v Adelaide Crows: Huge SCG crowd expected after standing room tickets released

THE SCG has taken the rare step of releasing standing room tickets for the Sydney Swans’ cut-throat semi-final showdown with Adelaide on tomorrow night. The unusual release adds to fans’ options with seated tickets still available for the game from $35. But they are running out fast with around 5000 tickets left for purchase.
The do-or-die clash could see attendance push past the 46,000-mark at the minor premiers’ spiritual home for only the second time ever.
The crowd could challenge the record for an AFL match at the SCG of 46,168 for the Swans v Geelong (round 22, 1997) when Tony Lockett kicked five goals.

On the back of 88k last night this has to be regarded as a very successful finals series for the AFL!!
