The all Sydney Fumbleathon - volunteers required.

So Sydney's two Fumbleball teams face off in week one of the great fumbling, stumbling, bumbling game of AFL. The fumble is the play in AFL that separates it from all other professional sports worldwide. No other sport is so inept, unskilled and uncoordinated as to continually fumble the ball like AFL 'professionals".
To celebrate the great Fumbleathon and find out who Sydney's greatest fumblers are I am calling for volunteers to do something that has never been attempted before - count the number of fumbles each team produce during an entire game of Fumbleball.
Now this is not going to be easy and will need many people to count and collate the fumbles such is the enormity of their number during a game. However if successful we will truly know who Sydney's greatest fumblers are - surely worth the tremendous effort required.
If anyone is willing to help me count the fumbles please pm me and I will work out a roster with spreadsheets and automatic calculators - god knows we'll need them. I envisage up to 50 people will be needed for this herculean task - put the word out - fumble counters needed.

Are you going to assist with the great fumble count loonie????? I'm envisaging about 5 fumbles per minute from the fumbling dills lololololo.olololol. Each fumble counter can only count for 5 minutes per 1/4 lest he gets fumble fatigue lolololololololol. It's going to be a massive challenge not to miss any fumbles but it will be worth the effort to find Sydneys greatest fumbling team.

Terry this is a very worthwhile cause. Thank you =D>
I'd like to propose a format for the challenge you have offered. You see I will be at the game this Saturday and would be happy to chip in and work for your cause. I propose we get 8 counters. Each counter can count fumbles for one team per quarter. I'm happy to count the gdubbya es teams fumbles for the first quarter and feedback the stats live from the ground.

:D
We'll just need seven more fumble counters.

Thanks KE - but I'll need a lot more than 8 fumble counters - it's a massive task to count every fumble. I've got 12 confirmed but I reckon we nearly need one for every player such are the fumble stats - very daunting. Once the fumble fest gets closer I will make an announcement as to whether we can achieve this task and advise everybody that has volunteered. It's like splitting the atom to be honest - but I'm still up for the challenge.

Fumble fest update: Thank you to everyone who has volunteered for the massive task of counting each and every fumble in the all Sydney fumbleathon. We have got to 24 fumble counters which is still quite a few short of the number required such is the magnitude of the task.
If there are any more volunteers please contact me ASAP. The average fumbles per game is between 500 to 600 so make sure you can count accurately and quickly if you want to come on board. Cheers.

The numbers are coming in - WOW !!!!! Huge figures - 35 fumbles in the 1st five minutes!!!!! I'll try to get team breakdowns.
FYI; I'm not counting a behind as a fumble/mistake as I still can't work out if it is success or failure lololololol!!

It's a deadset feast of fumbling out at Bushy Stadium.
1st 1/4: SFC 93 fumbles
GWS 78 fumbles
TOT: 171 for the quarter.
That's incredible numbers!!!! No professional sport in the world could boast stats like that!!!

It was a real pleasure to work for your cause there terry. And might I add a jolly well done to you =D>
It certainly was a fumble-athon out there yest. A shame really as the crowd was pretty poor considering two Sydney teams were playing on a lovely spring afternoon when nuttin else was on in town. A shame they couldn't muster another 20k to watch so so so so so so so so ... So so so...so so so so many fumbles.
The swans in particular will have to do a lot of work this week learning the art of catching a football. I wish those men well.
