Racist episode in the AFL

This fukking code is riddled with racists from the toddlers to 13 year old girls, to the mother without a brain in this most recent case who says shite like despite being "a little worried" when deciding to paint her boys face, she "grew a set of balls and painted my boy brown"..."So many politically correct extremists these days," to the president of the Collingwood footy club, to the tv personalities on the popular AFL footy show, to former gws coach kelvin Shoody who doesn't feel comfy with multicultural, to the thousands upon thousands of AFL supporters who spout racist comments each week.

It's disgusting and the ignoramuses, racists and racist apologist AFL fans in this forum will that the other codes are as bad.

But the cold hard evidence says that's clearly bullshit.

In this thread I propose a discussion focussed closely on HOW CAN THE AFL EVOLVE TO BE A LESS RACIST CODE??\\

I'll start, Sam Newman and Eddie McGuire to be sacked from all payed work associated with the code, immediately.

The problem is fumbleball is a game for the stereotypical white anglo Australian male. They have all these theme rounds about multicultural and indigenous issues but it's all just disingenuous clap trap. Have a look at the Swanettes team photo, bar one or two it's exclusively white anglo males. No wonder they know nothing about racism.

You're dead right terry. I've noted on here before that the makeup of each AFL team is very close to the cultural and ethnic diversity of 1940s/50s Australia. This was a period when the racist white Australia policy reigned. The AFL has proven that a failure to engage and encourage all of multicultural Australia enough so that the top level of the game reflects the nations cultural and ethnic diversity results in levels of racism akin to 1950s Australia. The fact that high level AFL employees are referring to a need for a one white parent rule and comparing an Aboriginal man and one of the games greatest to a great ape is proof the code is as racist as Australia was back then.

Real problems here folks but as I called for in the op, how can it be fixed? How can the multitude of knuckle brained racists who support and play the code be changed so the next generations don't dish out and cop the same racism as is happening today?

It's a real tough one but I'd suggest a hard lined approach that would have definite outcomes would be to introduce some form of lobotomy and/or mental institution/locked secure keeping place to shut the likes of the Eddie Maguires Sam newmans Kevin sheedys etc. out of society. Alternatively there could be a good long term plan to reduce these arseholes by castrating those men found guilty of racism.

It's a bloody tough one and although the above options may sound a bit silly I sincerely can't see any other way of stopping the mass amounts of racism in the code. What you guys think?

Yes I think castration would reduce the amount of racism in the future. Tho unfortunately racists like Eddie mcchins Sam Newman and co have already bred. all jokes aside tho what could the punishment be? I mean think of. It this way. What sort of punishment would Eddie McGuire receive if he walked up and spat on Adam Goodes before kicking him in the nuts a few years ago? Cos I imagine racism would feel like that but have worse after effects. So whatever punishment Eddie the racist would get for spitting on a legend of the game, then kicking him in the nuts ... Double or triple that punishment and you got what Eddie the fuckstick racist deserves.
