Anyone else had a good laugh at the hype behind this. Is like they think that by AFL playing one game in China.
That suddenly Chinese will go crazy for AFL and it will become their national sport.

Seeing the AFL ceo there with the PM there was hilarious. And then hearing the PM pretending to like a sport he really has little interest in was even more comical.

Even been talk of a competitive Chinese national team lol.
China has'nt even won the AFL international cup. That nobody watches lol.. So how is that going to happen.

China has over 1 billion people living in it. If 1% of those people develop any interest in the sport, that's 10 million people. Through pure size of the population, China could be a very fertile development ground for the game.

Good for them and I hope something happens for their game as they had the balls to do something about it when a fella in RL (near 80 years old) who ran the Gold Coast and set up League all over the globe and has spent his own retirement money on ventures only for the ARL-RLIF to ignore him. He has a guarantee put in place for 10 years at a few Chinese Universities to start playing Rugby League and all he needed last month was $34,000, do you think any of the fucking idiots running RL anywhere helped him out?

Go for it AFL and show the NRL-RLIF-RFL-RLEF-All other Federations in the rugby league ranks that they are freaking idiots and fools.

Australian football clubs play in China (as well as Japan and Korea) every year, and Chinese clubs play in Australia every year, nothing new for us, glad you guys are catching up.
