So how many games did you have to add together to get these totals?
with foxtel and regionals will still be over 1m for the lower rating Saturday night

Not unless you get over 300k for the night game and 500k for the day game.

the day game wont, the evening should. You only have to look TVtonight to see how much lower saturday night rates compared to other days.

http://www.tvtonight.com.au/category/ratings
the news is always amongst the top rating shows each night, and it consistently rates far lower on Saturday. It'll consistently get 1-1.2mil on week nights, 900k-1m on Sunday and only 700k on Saturday. No surprise the footy doesnt rate as well as Friday games.

all of the AFL games were shown concurrently against another game on fox and FTA, and none of the NRL games were. You already knew that of course but still try this BS :_<>

Sun TV #AFL Seven 450k (Mel 243k Ade 70k Per 137k) 7mate 81k (Syd 52k Bri 29k), plus 167k on Fox = 698k
Add the 230k fox ratings for the concurrent game and the total is 928k without regionals.
Add the 177k for regionals and you have 1105k for the AFL afternoon ratings

The NRL got Sun TV #NRL Nine 309k (Syd 252k Bri 57k) Gem 30k (Mel 19k Ade 5k Per 6k)
Add 226k for regionals = 565k
How many fox viewers did this game get?

NRL 340 metro 230 regional 240Fox = over 800k for just one game.
NZ game 250k on Fox and there will be another 150 on sky. = 400k
1200k for Sunday and another 250 odd Monday.

Wow just wow. Is there any wonder why were numero uno -

if the games werent played concurrently you cant simply add them together you plonk

Your Sunday afternoon ratings were only 800k, ours was over 1.1m. Sre, it was 2 concurrent games, but thats what our 5 city, 9 game competition allows. Adding this to Friday's easy win that's another smashing for the weekend.

So who is the number 1 Tv sport in Australia? :-k :\:

It isnt 2 games in reality, it's 1 on FTA in each city, plus 2 on foxtel.

So I'm sure channel 7 were very happy with 698k for 3 hours compared to the ch9's 565k for 2 hours :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/

Production costs are shared between fox and ch7 given fox only show ch7's feed and add their commentary. Over 1.1m for an afternoon's ratings on Sunday is very impressive
