Again, nz figures are irrelevant if trying to prove through ratings which code is more popular on tv on australia but if not... carry on.

So says Fred, resident rocket scientist lolololololol. You probably haven't noticed Freddy as your so busy stalking fumbleball games in NE Qld but NZ actually have a NRL side. As such many kiwis watch the NRL comp. and their broadcasters pay to show the content. I would say their ratings are more than relevant to a conversation about NRL ratings. Call me silly Freddy but it just seems to be common sense.

Definitely relevant to nrl ratings but no relevant if arguing popularity in Australia. I would have thought that was common sense. Australasia yes, but not Australia.

The SMH today says the NRL had 95.7 million viewers for the domestic season thus far. That's an increase of of over 11 million on 2015 !!!!!! Not a bad seasons work. By seasons end the NRL domestic comp will go close to getting bigger aggregate numbers than the fumbleball equivalent despite playing less games and will smash them on average.

Add in SOO and internationals to get the content up to something similar to the fumblers and the NRL smashes all competitors. All in a days work.

So why is this a thread about afl ratings and crowds? Anyway, seeing it is here, well done to the nrl for improved ratings for australia. If they could work on crowds and grass roots that is where the work is. Hopefully one day a boy in morwell may be able to play junior rl. That is what we need as well. Maybe a league in tassie for juniors and seniors although w.a is going along quite nicely i think. Next team to be there and would like another in brisbane but that is not going to happen.

Just wondering how many games from each code were Pay TV exclusive and not broadcasted on FTA?

AFL - 21 games Pay TV exclusive, the rest were broadcast in at least one market.
NRL - 120 games Pay TV exclusive.
Seems wookie is spreading some propaganda on BF

My question is how many games where there on FTA tv for the AFL?

AFL 7 games a round
NRL 3 games a round

AFL 154 games with FTA Exposure.
NRL 72 games with FTA Exposure.

Take away the extra ratings that extra FTA exposure brings and watch the AFL fall way behind on aggregate rating.

You notice how the fumblers squirm when they know they have had there butts handed to them on a platter... :_<> :_<> :_<>

They are gold medalists at mental gymnastics.... :(/ :(/ :(/ =D> =D>
