According to NITV, the NRL now has more idigenous players than AFL.

NRL 12%
AFL 9%

So basically AFL is not as much of an indigenous game as it thinks.
Maybe incidents with player Adams Goodes have not really helped AFLs cause.

More or less always been this way, RL never talks itself up as much as it should in certain areas.

But what is the percentage of indigenous playing at all levels????? To claim this you would have to prove overall that there is more playing RL - there can be many different reasons why more succeed at the higher level the true test is how many playing overall - this thread is a fail!

AFL is nothing but a rip off of Gaelic Football. Nothing to do with aboriginals creating the game like they make out. By calling themselves Australias indigenous code. It is clearly stupidity on AFLs part.

Almost everyone is full on white Australian in AFL which is as far from indigenous as it gets.

Maoris are counted as indigenous in New Zealand. So it constantly becomes more and more clear that AFL is full of shit with it's own self description.

Aussie rules was created in Australia and has a long history of indigenous involvement, so it rightly calls itself the indigenous game. Sure, the vast majority of players are caucasian, but so are the majority of Australians

Mate Gaelic football can be traced back in Ireland as far back as the 16th century. How was it not brought here by them and evolved into Aussie rules.

because Aussie rules became an official code well before gaelic football did. The game is also uniquely Australian with its own rules and methods of scoring

Soooooo are you saying RL was made here in Australia????? Seriously this really doesn't help your argument - going back to your original post unless you can show a massive difference between Koories taking up RL as opposed to AF I think you really have no point at all!!
