With only two clubs - Brisbane and South Sydney - recording a profit this season and the other 14 losing up to $40 million between them, they want more than the $3 million each over two years Grant has offered from a $50 million advance on the Nine deal.

with running cost of that half an AFL team & similar amounts of money given to the clubs from the governing bodies through distribution money, it's no wonder the NRLOL clubs are stamping their feet demanding more money from the TV broadcast deals, due to inability to raise money any other way outside of pokes & gaming money :\: :\: :\:

Fair point. AFL clubs have massive costs with staff, coaching, medical etc, much of which could be reduced if need be.

NRL clubs are struggling to make a profit despite far lower costs. OUCH

trolling through the site as you do
and bumping 3 year old threads as opposed to a thread i started last friday is a big difference :thumbleft:
all the news about the NRLOL coming second in the broadcast deal :))) the thread was forgotten about. now seeing annual reports are slowly being released, its a relevant thread.

most likely you will not comment on anything relevant about the NRLOL clubs finances, as some one as simple and thick as you knows, how minnow their finances are and without broadcast distribution rights and poke money the clubs struggle to raise any other decent forms of revenue and attract much in sponsorship wise.

now gimp try and keep up

Lol the membership thread is current .
You want to discuss Melb Storms member numbers .
Yet you claimed that the NRL has not expanded outside Qld & NSW.

I asked you to explain but you keep running .
Over to you gimp..

As I've stated continiously .
You can't expect someone to answer your questions when you refuse to answer ones asked about your lies.

Headline grabbing sensationalism. Designed to pull in Morons like yourself......... without league club grants. None would have made a profit without NRL/AFL grants.

Wow, that's a rare thing to see two whole clubs making a profit in the same season, well fucking done.

Fuck Australia is good, we have 2 NRL clubs making a profit, we have 2 or 3 AFL clubs making a profit and all the rest don't.

See, we are 4 or 5 clubs up on everybody else already, you should see some of the club debt in England Soccer Union and League, heck several Union clubs have more debt than the whole SL combined, then there's the soccer lot owing hundreds of millions each and the SL owing about 40 million itself.

Naaaa, we are doing pretty damn good in Aus compared to most the rest.

Another stupid thread made by a stupid DingB@t.

Not really fair to put all clubs in together tho, the Titans and Tigers along with Saints would make up a fair chunk of that debt while my stupid club would make a profit if it only decided properly where they were going to take games away to and who they'd be playing. Not like taking a local derby to darwin in a 10k stadium and wondering why you missed out in near tripling the frigging crowd.

You take a game against a low drawing club away to Darwin or elsewhere like the Cowboys and Titans instead of taking away one of your biggest rivals only to play in a stadium that has less than half the capacity of the ground the club usually plays at, dumb thinking alround.

Just so dumb, so so dumb.

they do, that's why the AFL has placed that football department spending tax.

the bit i keep trying to make is out side of the distribution money from the codes governing body, the AFL clubs anialite the NRLO clubs in ability to raise money through football related revenue.

the sponsorship dollars of the NRLOL, is they are really as big and as popular to what the basement dwellers try and convince us to be, their sponsorship dollars should be near some of the upper levels of the AFL clubs, seeing that the NRLOL is the dominate code in the biggest and 3rd biggest advertising markets
