Rugby League?

Why is it that Rugby League is watched by more Australians than AFL? Despite all the but, but, butting that goes on around here, Doesn't this clearly indicate, beyond any reasonable doubt , that rugby league is a better - more attractive game to watch?

RL is a prime time TV sport. The AFL is far better seen live at the game. RL has 3 rep games that rate well, but other than that both codes are comparable on TV for ratings. We all know that the AFL more than doubles the NRL for crowds

Do you think the AFL GF would rate more that RL if played in prime time?

Probably not .
It's the big tardy fallacy that prime time means more viewers .
Simple fact is in prime time there could be a million or more watching TV .
& in Big tardy world that means they all would be watching the fumble fest .
Lol
There are also about4 times as many top rating shows to compete with .

AFL GF gets clean air up against 50 yr old Doris day or Elvis movies .
The NRL is up against top rating shows .

& as for the myth that CH 7 want it in prime time because it would rate better .
Lol
The only reason is they can charge a fortune for advertising in Prime time .

Lol
Nice rant but you still can't show how if there are a million more viewers in front of the box at prime time then they would be watching fumble fest .
All you fumblers ignore that there is stiff competition for the GF in prime time .
& it's not Elvis .

If I haven't watched it during the day in over 40 years, what makes people think I'll watch it just because it's played at night?

Be a movie on one of the other channels.

Monday night was up against the block and the X factor. The day session rated 470 k for the cricket, and the evening session in prime time rated nearly a million

Im very interested to see how you explain this away

Here's another example on a Sunday: Last summer's one day match between Australia and India. Session 1 970k, session 2 in prime time just under 1.5 mil

Excuses?
