Optus snatches Australian English Premier League from Fox Sports
Could this be a thing to come.. for the NRL
Optus going for the NRL rights.

Puts the pressure right on FOX .
They have now lost one of their flagship OS sokka comps .
This is why Smith & Grant were playing the waiting game .
The more sports that are lost to competitors the. More pressure is on fox to keep its best rating STV sport in this country .
They are already churning subscriptions due to non sport competition from Netflix ,Stan etc .
Pay up Rupert or fox in this country is in a heap of shit

Nothing is going to change the fact that foxtels business is under increasing pressure from all sides making the NRL rights a must for Foxtel.
With this announcement the NRL rights deal has just skyrocketed and we still have a year to make Patrick Delaney and Co squirm.
NRL are in the Box seat without a doubt.
Smiths/Grants ploy of letting this play out for the next year or so seems to be right on the money.. =D>

Massive amounts of doubt .
Look at the reaction from sokka fans in Aust .
The Fox Twitter feed was a great read .
& that is from fans of one of the smaller rating sports on fox .
They are churning subscriptions hand over fist.
They need RL far more than RL needs them .
If they don't stump up the $$$$ they are screwed in Aust .
I know who is in the box seat .

Thinking he did a great deal for the AFL which might turn out to be good instead of great now that things are starting to unfold.
