Who are your favourite politicians?

Society, politics, culture and everything and anything that doesn't fit on the other boards.

For me I have a lot of respect for people like Don Dunstan, Paul Keating, Gough Whitlam and even Malcolm Fraser. The politicians today lack charisma and have the guts to do things the the ignorant public may not agree with.

Paul Keating - he had the balls to do the right thing even if it wasn't popular with the electorate.

I was saddened that the ALP chose to background his achievements as an election strategy instead of highlighting the fact that many of the economic successes of the last 8 years were the result of Keating's economic policies.

He also had the guts to recognise the inequities in our country on race relations when the coward Howard puts his blinkers on and feeds off fear and paranoia.

Yeah I'm a big fan of Paul Keating too. Bob Brown is also someone I admire. Stands his ground even when it isn't popular.

Amanda Vandstone, George Bush Senior was someone I admired, John Howard for his mental toughness, and Nick Greiner really stood up and spoke his mind well.

And Downer wears high heels and fishnet stockings, thus explains why he is a Crow supporter!
