Legit question Syd v Hawks got 63319 just last Saturday - NRL has no competition in a game that their billing as the greatest game on the greatest ground - so how much do they get, what's a pass what's a fail, what is a success?

For me a pass is at least 70k approx
Failure is anything less than 60k given the games national profile.
85+ is a big success?
Over to you

Well there's a difference between tickets sold and the official attendance.

NRL once got 90,000 at Melbourne . Has the AFL ever did anything remotely similar in Sydney?

Well considering AFL has no SOO the answer would be no - but Sydney did get 72k against Collingwood for a H & A match at ANZ - has NRL ever got that for H & A between two sides (not a double header)?

The vflols best effort in Sydney is 72, 393 in 2003
Thousands of freebies handed out to get that figure

RLs best in Melbourne
87, 166 in 1994

The largest Origin crowd ever was at ANZ in 1999
88, 110 in pouring rain
I think that figure is set to go :\:

No your comparing apples and oranges again your best H& A in Melb is not better than AFL H & A in Syd - but GF AFL is much bigger than NRL GF - there is nothing AFL has to compare with SOO which you win hands down but that's not indication of superiority just a reflection that the NRL would rather have one gimmick event than a proper competition being their flag ship!

Facts are these
Our sports best product is far more appealing to Melbournians
Then the vflols only product is to Sydneysiders
The Swines cant even half fill ANZ these days

While the 2nd largest sporting attendance in Melbourne this winter will be a Rugby league game

the best NRLOL attendance was the Minnowbourne Storm of 33,427 back in 2007!
that was back in the News Ltd days, you could buy a copy of the herald sun and score a free ticket to the NRLOL or attend a game at the MCG and score as many tickets to the NRLOL as to how many AFL tickets you had :(/
