I was at the Swans Melbourne office at MSAC .
They had the number on the office board - 47,981.

the bumsniffers seem to mock the swans popularity in Sydney, yet seem to think the storm is relevant in Melbourne

For the record there is only 11400 Melb based members which still puts them ahead of South Sydney (if that were even relevant!) the fact is almost 50k people put their hands in their pockets and buy memberships - not watch something for free but are prepared to support them - that's what makes them the biggest in Sydney. Also for the record NO club in any code can claim exclusive membership to a single location and I would imagine they wouldn't want to either as sponsors want a national presence members tied to one area would be of little benefit!!!!
