Too lazy to check and see if a thread had been done about this, forgot etc.

But we all agree and there is no argument about it. That NSW, RL. QLD, RL. ACT, RL (tho AFL is not far behind) VIC, AFL. TAS, AFL. SA, AFL. WA, AFL.

But what about NT? I never been there or know much about that region, but I always hear mixed views about which code is number one there, some say AFL, others say NRL and some say both are 50/50.

I know occasionally the AFL play some premiership games there over the last few years, which attract a decent crowd.

Discuss, enlighten me etc.

I would agree that it is around the 50 / 50 Split.

I guess this would change depending on which code is gain enough to take how many games there a year.

regarding you post (AFL is not too far behind in Rugby league states)

that is Laughable as they're Light years behind.

The four northern AFL clubs (Swans, Suns, Lions, Giants) sold 948,000 tickets to home games in NSW/ACT and QLD in 2014.

And the code is growing...and growing...and growing.

And that makes you nervous, Leeroy. Get used to it.

Growing and growing Bruce?? The only thing that is growing us your Bullshit metre.

Reserve grade Rugby league rated higher than your AFL finals in Qld.
Your Brisbane Lions are in so much debt it is ridiculous. 10 million plus I believe. =D>
The Giants have had a fall in merchandise sales and sponsors. What ever happened to AFL taking over Western Sydney Bruce?

Your Giants are being embarassed constantly by the Western Sydney Wanderers with support lol.. :(/ :(/

Keep dreaming your half nation fumblers game is going places. You AFL guys are so shit you can't even get our nearest neigbours the Kiwis to follow AFL after a hundred plus years of trying :(/ :(/

And they say you catch more flies with honey than vinegar, maybe 100 years ago eh?
Really, I had no idea Bruce the goose was a fraud too. Come to think of it now, I have seen his name in sports stories comment sections online.

Bruce the sly dog hipster with his AFL agenda.

80k leeroy ? 8-[

Try 400k

The origin series last year attracted 1 million veiwers in Melbourne for the 3 games

Yeah I know.

I was saying 80k for the crowd figure at the "G"

sorry I was meaning Game 2

the figure for this game on tv in the Melbourne market could be pretty big!
Oh my mistake.
Yes
Theyre aiming for the largest origin attendance ever.. hoping to beat the 1999 Sydney figure of
88, 110

Ticket sales were at 60, 000 last week.. a month out .. once the series starts that figure will pick up

Ummm stay on topic ladies, gentlemen and raiderdaves.

To Leeroy Jenkins, I meant AFL isn't far behind in ACT. My mistake not qld and NSW.

That comment which was misunderstood started a cat fight lol.

So we can all agree with that NT is split down the middle of both codes?

he's comparing the AFL to NRL clubs and given many NRL clubs struggle to get crowds over 10 i'd say he has a point
