Sheeds legacy with gws

So an AFL "super coach" was given the task to come up here and develop a team of snotty nosed teenagers into superstars.

Almost everyone in AFL circles aka lalaland believed he would. They said shit like "gws will be scary in 3-5 years", "it's never been done this way before, those youngsters will gel and become unbeatable", "Israel folou' future under sheeds and co is extremely promising"

Well we all know sheedy didn't achieve any of the above, he really did jack shit all really. But no one moves somewhere and doesn't leave their imprint, so what did he really leave behind? Let's answer this one together as a team lads, and if ur an AFL fan be realistic for a fukkin change!

A) he left us with an impression that AFL super coaches are kinda racist douchebags.
B) he left us with an impression that AFL super coaches are not really understanding of infrastructure nor standard directional coordinates. Battle of the bridge anyone? :?

Personally from my perspective that covers his five odd years in syd but Please insert ur own impressions of kev sheedys legacy North of the Murray. :)

He left me with the impression that someone considered World Famous in Vicderpia is considered a senile geriatric elsewhere .

Also what vicderpians consider a quirky sense of humour ,is really racism ,stupidity & having no fucking idea ,all rolled into One .

 spot fukkin on there aflcrap, thanks for your insightful, intelligent and valid assessment of the sheeds in sydney legacy.

It is really interesting to see how the supposed qualities southerners revere are seen in a place that is more connected globally such as sydney. It's a real kinda time warp, living history soughta thing. So very interesting.

Hey left me with the impression of Bullshit.

He made out every rugby league fan would stop following their team in the Western suburbs and follow GWS and AFL instead.

Western Sydney would all see AFL and fall madly into it like Melbourne has according to him. Yet it simply just did not happen. Quite the opposite.

He left the impression of AFL being a racist arrogant code that thinks it is above the rest. But in reality it is at the bottom if the group in the Western suburbs sporting market. Basketball would even have more interest than Aussie Rules in the West. :(/ :(/

 yes  yes indeed aflsforpussies. He and the AFL really did think that everyone in western sydney would stop what they were doing and take notice. the arrogance was and is amusing but it stinks pretty bad. I guess sheeds is happy now back in his southern state. He certainly won't be remvered favourably up this way.

Yeah he made a fool out of AFL, GWS and himself.

Izzy quiting early for less money was the icing on the cake. Has been total humiliation for AFL there.

And they seemed to have made more enemies than fans in Western Sydney the way they have carried on. :(/ :(/

He was a bit of a dick & he probably has hurt the GWS brand but he has gone now & there new coach (Leon Cameron) seems a lot better.

Pete GWS basically need to start afresh, write the last few years off and try clean the slate. another way to put it is;

GWS need to erase and clean off all the mess on the whiteboard, hopefully sheedy and those early 'pioneers' didn't use permanent markers tho.

The quicker the old way is cleaned off hopefully (for GWS's sake) the quicker the public start to forget the stupid decisions and actions during the clubs rotten early years.

GWS need to stop and think 'how should we approach this' and then do whatever is the complete opposite.

A new coach who is a no name is perfect for GWS, cos as a whole they need to be as quiet and low key possible, have to do things like this if they want to have any future in Western Sydney(a future on their own two feet).

Respect here is not slapped on as u walk into town as the early cronies seemed to think, being loud and acting like you did down south doesn't help neither.

'Respect' won't just suddenly appear with success either, if that was the case Western Sydney would hate on the GWS players just as much as the club but they don't, everyone knows the team is shit lol but the players are more respected than GWS why? Because they just go out there and do their job lose or lose, and do it quietly in their place.

respect for GWS will gradually build if they approach EVERYTHING with their bubble removed.

the clubs very 'melbourneske' approach in the early days (loud, self promoting whores) does not work in the Sydney market where AFL is the little boys.

GWS never respected their place at the bottom of the pecking order and when the club was seen attempting to flex it's muscles/bully a-league and NRL clubs, buying sporting fields then banning locals from using them, making loud and 'out of their place' comments in the media etc etc etc (list can go on) disconnected them more and more from the community
