Western Sydney Wanderers leaving AFLs GWS Giants for dead.

Is so funny to watch how quickly the A leagues Wanders have gained support compared to the AFLs giants.
While the Wanderers support seems as strong as ever, GWS just keeps going backwards.
Falling merchandise sales, more money needed by AFL to prop them up.
And all AFL can come up with is it is a 30 year project.
SO AFL NEEDS 30 YEARS TO GET SUPPORT FOR GWS IN TWO CITIES WHILE THE WANDERERS GET SUPPORT IN THE FIRST YEAR IN ONE CITY LOL.

Hmmm how does that work =D>
Says alot about how good a game AFL is if they are getting beating by an amateur soccer competion.
AFL has even gone as far as trying to stop the A league from hosting it's grand final in Melbourne. And David Gallop is quite right in saying AFL is a code that can't be trusted.
AFL must know they have a game that is only popular in some parts of one nation. So if they loose support in one country they have no where else that will show any interest.
Maybe in 30 years AFL will call the giants a 100 year project lol

Im sure Wests Tigers and Penrith are fucking thrilled at it too.
They are well established clubs and already have a fanbase though.
While GWS is a new club trying to get a market share in two cities and they are being flogged by a newer Soccer club that does not even have to try.

well
its hardly a feat to claim you're bigger then the Midgets
the Sydney Swifts womens netball team could claim that too

:_<> :_<> :_<>
to proclaim you are bigger then the most irrelevant sporting franchise in Australian sporting history is not boast worthy & just another
look at me look at me exercise
from the sooker wankers

Hard to see the Giants getting better,
they won 6 games last year.
to 1 game the year before
there crowds didn't increase.
They reply to much on Other Supporters from the visiting teams to fill the stands.
for an Example.
Hawks, Collingwood, Richmond,
when they play the Giants Its seems there the home side.
Quite funny really..
The Wanderers.
Have been on a decline ever since the FFA Sold them
Its like they were Built to win & then Sold.

except we won the Asian Champions League (ie the biggest trophey for a Club team in Asia) after being sold, so your theory really doesn't make much sense then does it

You would be wrong, I don't think you really understand the size of football in Asia, or the amount of money that it attracts.
By way of example Wanderers played and lost last night in the second of match of the Group stages of the Asian Champions League (ACL) they lost against a club team from China Guangzhou Evergrande, this club is co-owned by a Property Development Company (in the Sydney news the same day for having Joe Hockey pull the plug on their purchase of a mansion in Sydney for $39 million. The other owner is one of the founders of Alibaba which is a Chinese like version of ebay (but different) which recently was the largest listing on the NY Stock Exchange something like $21 billion, so safe to say pretty rich dudes.
The team itself is a big deal in China (ACL champions in 2013) the team roster according to the independent transfer market webite is worth almost 38 million EURO. The guy who scored the winning goal last night was recently bough from a Brazil club for $22 million.
And that is without bringing in the clubs from west asia who are in similar ball parks. so I would suggest that you don't be so dismissive when you really don't understand what you are talking about. I am more than happy to educate you as best as I can, but rather than dismiss what you don't know, just ask.

currently last in the A League yes, a number of factors have come to play in that, but one thing is very clear due to the limited size of our rosters, it is exceedingly difficult to compete successfully in two tournaments at the same time.
I heard a few months ago some Rugby League players were complaining about their schedule having to play 35 games a season or something. When SOO is played 3 times a year you guys split the rounds to ease the pressure, and that is fine everyone agrees.
But the Wanderers have played mid week games several times this season and will continue to do so for the rest of the season to make up games missed on winning the ACL, whilst at the same time playing in the current ACL. So fatigue is a major issue, to where we are running

Ok well fair enough.. =D>
TBH I got no idea about Asia Soccer. (as I care little for it)
I do know there is a lot of money involved of course. Arabs and the Chinese, with some big clubs.
but will Australia still be involved in the Asian conference or get the boot.
I was simply stating the Wanderers Decline..
FFA have no control over the Asian club tournaments.
But all of the control in the A League.
Once Sold there decline began.
Good Timing..
