The Power Is Out

Post by Beaussie »

Beaten again, this time by Geelong. Very worrying signs for the so-called Power from Port.

Caught an interview with "Warren Tredrea" and he said no one should worry as it's only a few games in which the Power have lost.

Well Warren, the fact is...

Round 1 - Lost to Fremantle @ Subiaco (Won this last year)
Round 2 - Beat Brisbane @ Aami (Lions 16th)
Round 3 - Lost to Adelaide @ Aami, Crows Home game
Round 4 - Draw with Carlton @ Aami (Home game)
Round 5 - Lost to Geelong @ Aami (Home game)

Some games there which are going to be extremly hard to make up, also have a very difficult run home with a great amount of away games... well this is why we all are making a bigger fuss about them.

Just thought i would point this out.

Gees it doesn't look great does it. Warren is kidding himself if he thinks such stats are not a worry, particularly as you say with their difficult run home with away games.

The Power will be there when it matters - they are perrenial slow starters.

Does anyone really believe that they won't finish in the Top 4? If there is such a fool, please PM me as I will be happy to have a small wager with them.

The prophets of doom and gloom will also be eating their words by the end of the home and away season about the Lions! Again, anyone wanting to say the Lions won't make the 8, please contact me as I need some extra holiday money. (take note KE!!!)

I'm sure both these teams were very short odds indeed to make the 8 this season. So croc I'm willing to put 10 on bris not making it, and ten on port notmaking it. For a total return of $250 :D
