Suns so far a success and are playing well (though the AFL are pumping millions into the Side.
the Titans were really successful first couple of years..
before they started losing and haven't made the 8 since 2010 and have went on down hill spiral.
the Nrl stuffed up here and should of helped.
5 years down the track will tell the Tail.

Seems to forget that during the sl war, the gold coast chargers were one of if not the only club to make a profit, they then gave their money to Newcastle and were told to fold.

Is that so..
I was hearing reports last year Channel 9 were going to make a Tele movie about the Super League War.
now this would be brilliant watch, as so many people are unaware of the damage it caused to Rugby League.
"hopefully this does get made in the Future"

Yeah a few people mentioned on forums they like to see the Packer Murdoch wars to continue on to the SL wars after that mini series which I actually watched for once on ch 9. (don't watch much TV tbh)
I think I remember hearing they were going to do it, I hope so as long as it's not one lots propaganda piece.

agree. if its done well it could be a riveting watch.
They have to have a scene depicting....oh who was it? Geoff Toovey? It was a Manly player anyway having a crack at Billy Harrigan early in the 1998 season about favouring the Super League team the Sea Eagles were playing and got told "Super League is over".

I have to admit The Suns are doing very well on the Gold Coast. Great name and colours for location. And have been well marketed. Was a very smart move by the AFL.
Steve Mascord is a very biased tool though. He is one journalist that attacks rugby league any chance he gets. Always has countless stories about the demise of the game. No wonder a certain radio commentator said he would be happy to put one on his chin.

Yeah I think they will end up like the Brisbane Broncos of the AFL. A strong consistent club with a big supporter base.

Lol
Remember in 2005 ,some gimp from BF ,started a thread that became a classic laugh a minute at LU.
QLD is now a AFL state .
Lol how's that going .
The circle jerk over a team gifted 3 flags (lol flags) was a sight to behold .
The rantings ,ramblings & outright delusions were comical .
Very much like your post above ,about RL dying .
You really don't have a clue do you .
We have been hearing it for yrs & yrs ,from RU types ..then you fumblers ,,then the Sokka crowd .
Yet RL is king by a long long long long way in QLD .
So keep dreaming ,keep drinking & keep posting your ****** rants ..it's the best comedy on the net .

same with the lions!
not far behind the broncos in revenue
Hmmm
Lets see
Broncos 70 million
Kitty Kats 42 million
Broncos 3.5 million in profits each year
&
Theyve never recorded a loss in their 25 year history
Kitty Kats 3.5 million loss each year
& they haven't posted a profit in 12 years
But yeah thats similar isnt it ?

:_<>

Minor corrections here of course
Broncos 2013 Club Revenue - $34,990,195 - hasnt reported in for the year
Broconcs Leagues Club 2013 Revenue - $23,054,00 - this dropped to $22,173,000 last year
Total Revenue available to the Broncos and their leagues club was 58 million. Not 70 million.
The profit figues you quote are before tax, the actual net profit for the Broncos Leagues - $154,000 and for the Broncos club - $2,032,000 . The leagues club reported a $161,000 loss last year.
Brisbane Lions finances for the same 2013 period
2013 revenue - 42.5 million (revenue up to 43.5 million in 2014)
2013 loss 1.5 million (of course we know that they lost 3,5 million in 2014)
But i mean carry on.
so
the Broncos have performed to the tune of about 9 million net dollars ......... better ... then the Widdle Kitty Kats in the last 2 years alone
& dumbo actually claimed they do about as well as each other

:_<> :_<> :_<>
But I mean yeah
carry on n all

Man you really are a bufoon and a pelican. =D> Do you really think Rugby League will die in Qld at the expense of AFL because one team in the whole state is doing well??.
Yes Gold Coast Suns are doing well. But alot of it is probably at the expense of the Lions who are actually going in the opposite direction as the Suns at the moment.
State of Origin is still by far the biggest sporting event in Qld, you will have to get rid of that for a start lol

I think that is an insult to all buffoons & Pelicans out there.
This is a bloke who believes a man who has been dead for 9 yrs is buying Souths memberships .
He believes that invisible people watch TV .
He believes that Melb is in Qld or NSW.
So please leave the poor buffoons & Pelicans alone

If I were the Titans I'd be playing my cards close to my chest until the deal is done. But I think Parkwood is definitely the better deal because it's much closer to CBus Stadium than Coomera. Coomera is also a poor option because it's in the amusement park region (Movieworld, Dreamworld) which is outside rugby league's demographic.
Of course I wouldn't expect the children of this forum to understand this. (See below)
