MANLY recruit Zane Tetevano has been suspended by the Sea Eagles following an appearance in Newcastle Local Court on Friday.
Tetevano is facing 11 charges relating to a series of alleged assaults on his former girlfriend and her property earlier this year.
The Sea Eagles released a statement on Friday saying the 24-year-old former Newcastle prop “was signed by the club in good faith, however the details of previous incidents have now been fully disclosed in a court of law.”

According to the club, Tetevano has been training, does not have a registered contract with the NRL and “his position at the club will now be reviewed internally before making any further comment.”
Tetevano had his contract with the Knights torn up in May after he pleaded guilty to smashing a taxi windscreen.
Tetevano played 29 games for the Knights between 2011 and 2014 and finished the year in the NSW Cup playing for Wyong.
