Awful news and a total accident.

RIP Phil.

Also, I hope the young blower is being looked after, it's wasn't his or Phils fault, these things sadly happen in all sports around the world.

RIP Phil, who died what he loved doing & had the talent & a remarkable record for such a young FC cricketer!

but one must spare a thought to the Hughes family & as well the poor bloke Sean Abbott. a former teammate of Hughes. not much more than a medium pacer, Abbott, ran in and bowled another ball, something that he would do a thousand times a year, but in a freak accident struck hughes & now its something that he will have to deal with trauma with for the rest of his life, something you wouldn't wish upon anyone

I feel it is a long way back for Sean Abbott, not a single person is blaming him, everyone is comforting him, but he will struggle and struggle for a long time.

Never thought I'd ever see the day someone passes playing cricket. Seemed well respected by everyone he knew too.
