Woman and child burned by flare at A-League football match in Melbourne
Two teenage boys have been arrested after a woman and a young boy were burned by a flare set off at last night's A-League match at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne.
Police believe a number of flares were set off during the second half of the Melbourne Victory versus Brisbane Roar game.
A woman aged in her 20s and a 12-year-old boy received burns as a result.
Two boys were arrested and are now assisting police with their enquiries.

North West Metro Commander Rick Nugent said letting off flares is not only highly dangerous, it is also illegal.
"The increased anti-social behaviour we are seeing at the soccer this season is completely unacceptable," he said.
Last season flares were let off eight times, but since the start of the current season on October 10, 38 flares have been seyt off xand about 200 chairs have been broken.
"Flares are extremely dangerous. They can burn at more than 1000 degrees Celsius and are not designed to be released in highly populated areas," Commander Nugent said.
"Victoria Police does not tolerate this behaviour, nor does the wider community."
Commander Nugent also drew attention to the fact about 22,000 people attended the game last night and only a small group had spoiled it for a well-behaved majority.
"The troublemakers are not there to watch the match; they attend to engage in criminal activity and anti-social behaviour," he said.
Approximately 30 people have been arrested at Victorian A-League games this year.
Anyone with information about last night's incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Maybe if the poor woman & her son had stood up to the hooligans .
