AFL Fans 2014: We don't like attending Sunday night or Monday night games.
AFL: Sorry, there'll be none next year.
nRL fans in 2007,2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014: We don't like attending Monday night games.
nRL: lol, who cares you stupid peasants.

Sorry i don't follow AFL at all, is the Sunday night issue one for Long Weekends as well? is turn out poor if their are any games in those situations?
I can understand general Sunday night especially middle of Winter in Melbourne, that is cruel and unusual punishment, but surely a 'special event' long weekend in wouldn't be so bad?
Do they ever play late games in Perth?

Long weekends/public holidays won't be affected by this decision (there is still a game on Easter Monday, for example).
Due to the time difference, the later scheduled games in Perth take place earlier over there.

Thanks, glad 'event' games are effected, would seem rather narrow minded.
Pretty sucky for Perth teams that they pretty much stuck with 1 time slot week in week out to satisfy TV in Eastern States. I know A League some Saturday's have triple games, early Saturday game 5pm prime time 7.30 then a late game from Perth, then this rolls into EPL, Fox seem to like that. Doesn't happen a lot but it does happen. Poor Perth always get to rough end of the Pineapple LOL
