How is media coverage any different to Melbourne last week? Outside of Redfern who really gives a shit about the NRL or Rabbitohs win?

The Rabbitohs rated very well in Melb ,in fact were not far behind what the swans rated in Syd.
Difference being,the Rabbitohs are a Syd team & there was NO Melb RL team in the GF.

So a prime time grand final tailored to boost tv audience numbers in Melbourne still rated worse than the AFL rated in Sydney on a Saturday afternoon. Cheers for the update. AFL more popular in Sydney than NRL in Melbourne. Well that was a given wasn't it.

would you like to have a look at the 2012 ratings perhaps? 803k in melbourne. smashing your pissweak 500k in sydney, despite a bigger population in sydney.

Last time there was a Melb RL team in the GF it rated well over what the Melb swans have rated in Syd in the last few yrs.

When AFL house stop rigging the comp to ensure that the swines are in the GF ( to try to get as many ratings as possible in NSW) then we will compare how the AFL Bunnings flag day rates in Syd..
