Always amuses me when AFL fans say their sport is as big as Rugby League in the UK and abroad.
Rugby League has 38 professional clubs in a 3 division format similar to soccer in the UK.
They even have a first division French Rugby League club as well as solid tv and media coverage.
Rugby League is miles ahead of AFL there. Looking forward to the super club challenge.

well considering league started in england & union is also played there.
the english side must be a real league power house

all they can do is talk about the parity of our international competition when they dont even have one. well they do, but australia cant compete else it'd be too unfair and they draw crowds in the HUNDREDS at the MCG for their 'final' between ireland and some other country.

funnily enough, i was in india for part of the RLWC. and it was on repeat constantly on one of the sports channels, and i mean 3-4 repeats every day minimum. plus showing it live of course. Forget the name of the channel, it'll be in my comment history somewhere but cant really be bothered to find it.

local suburban football has multiple sponsorship and gets played on tv
why is it Australia dominates the RL world cup and has done for decades even after over half of the players playing in the last world cup where Australian based

Well you haven't been paying attention then, big footy for years had nutcases saying this, this site here has more than its chare of deluded AFL trolls who state shit like this every bloody day.

The ESL TV deal is worth over 400 million Aus dollars, not bad for a small sport living in the shadow of the biggest sporting comp on Earth (EPL).
