do a bit of googling and hos family live in the shit hole of mount isa and townsville
"Ponga said that he was tempted by the Lions offer but decided the Cowboys offer was best for him and his family"
quote from the article
so he is from the area, and famild is still based in the area and he is still a young teenager
of course he is going to choose the cowboys, union dont have a professional side there, the AFL doesnt, the NRL does.
so of course he is going to choose league
plus he may have read the papers and seen the footage of the NRL start attempting to play AFL. & said "stuff that its to hard, ill stick to league. hit the roids in the gym, be an unco jog up and down a field. get pissed with the bogan mates & drink our urine. and collect an easy pay cheque. that the leagues club pays for.

So we don't get the AFL is taking over the world speech this time. Instead just a load of dribble

Did you even watch the footage you delude kick and hope fan. The kid is a freak and there isn't much size about him, built perfectly for AFL, so you a way off the mark like usual. Have another AFPL bubble pill before you reply. Never mind, I am sure the blindfold will be on.

He's played both you frigging nut, that's been happening in NSW and Qld for 100 freaking years.
Most Union players in Aus have played league at some stage, most League players have never played union in Australia.
Read it for the 3rd bloody time.

When you go to one of The GPS schools .You definitely wont be playing RL.
That's why he played RU.
But now is signed to RL.
Smart boy.
RU is going backwards in this country at a rapid rate(about the same as the Swans Finals crowds in Syd.).
The other option was to be Victorian famous in a Melbourne suburb.
&
Never get the chance to play rep footy or represent your country..
He chose wisely.

So a young talent who is an elite sportsman and recognised for his rl playing ... Something he knows he is good at, doesn't take a chance in playing another code (AFL). Gee whiz
