watching the roosters cowboys game right now
empty seat everywhere
junior regular season pass holders were offered free entrance...ticket prices slashed($40 for family, $15 individual) but there is no more than 15k at the joint from what i see, if they post any more than that, then no doubt it has been fudged.
even switched over to the AFL just now and anz looked pretty packed, probably 40-50k+
surely the nrl has to combat this, it is getting out of hand

It's a bit of a concern when you get such a bigger crowd to the AFL at the unpopular anz stadium.

It's another wound in the side of a sport that's bleeding out and slowly dying a miserable death. Does it need to be put out of its misery before it makes it to the ABC on Saturday afternoons between the club rugby?

I think you'll find your figures are a little fallacious Dave... If league is to survive maybe it should just stick to its three Wednesday night games a year?

LOL.
Another fumbler who just cant get his head around the fact that other sports have many levels.
Pre season 9s.
NRL Domestic comp.
SOO (Biggest Football event each yr)
Test Matches.
4 Nations.
RLWC every 4 yrs.
We have a wide variety to choose from ,& no worries about surviving.
Millionaires wanting to buy into clubs.
International teams entering at Lower levels(that probably confused you,Most fumblers think Overseas is Tasmania).
6-7 Places bidding to enter a team in the NRL.
WE are doing just fine ,& I find your rampant jealousy hilarious.

Well maybe there are too many levels, isn't their core business the NRL comp - or is it SOO - or 9's maybe that's RL problem??

As I only speak the truths on this and any forum I must say I was somewhat disappointed and confused about the 18k cwowd at the woosters... But thanks to dave and aflcrap, it's clear that in a city of 8 odd rl teams, of which the woosters are notoriously unpopular and, let's be honest, soft as pussies, the cwowd was not the big picture. Tv ratings are unfortunately where the big bucks are and the rl would've trounced the AFL's ratings in syd even tho it was a semi compared to a prelim
Trounced. Remember that word me fumblers. Trounced.
