Thanks to aflcrap1 we all know how a southern qld rl schoolboy team with no experience walloped an AFL schoolboy team at marngrook so I thought we should discuss this question.
My opinion? With 3 months training the storm would likely beat the demons by five goals.

Pretty fair assessment.

The schoolboy squad showed how rl players can play against a team of experienced marngrookers and win. The precedent has been set wookster. Additionally we've seen nrl players make the transition to the AFL and we've all seen how woeful the demons are.
The storm would knock em over after a few months endurance and basic skills training. In fact I think it'd be quite intimidating for the D's to matchup against the storm.

KE, this is not uncommon. I played AFL in year 6 for interschool sport with all my weekend league team mates and we smashed the local school where the AFL club was by 60 odd points both times we met.

Thanks dogs! This is exactly why we should be having this discussion. No I wouldn't have thought it would be uncommon for league teams to beat AFL teams at their own game. I know how easy it was for me to make the transition.

Can you lot make up your mind.
Hunt was boy wonder according to you lot before this year. Now he has made his money, realised he had to be a marathon runner rather then have skilled sportsperson, you lot all of a sudden have changed your turn.

Many have said khunt was a great player.
Look it might be closer than 5 goals if the storm came out with the wrong mindset but given the evidence it'd have to be a storm win

hunt struggled with skill levels as well, couldn't kick it to a team mate if his life depended on it. often hand passed it off to the nearest team mate.

Yes this is partly true. However the same could be said for the entire Melbourne Demons footy club, they're atrocious and in need of basic skills training which I think their coach roos has said before. He tried focussing them on basic skills and "just stopping goals being scored against us" mid season and the players tried to do this but they failed miserably.
And lets not forget the context. Khunt pulled a swifty on the AFL to the tune of approx. $7,000,000.00

He really wasn't committed at all. But if you got the entire Storm team committed, noting their coachability and professionalism as a squad, I think you'd find they'd end up on top of the demons who are a lowly bunch of uncoordinated unskilful cheats who cant score goals to save emselves. :lol;
