Most people say they can't, but I think they can. Get some Holden cup nrl and superleague players and boom 2 more competive teams in Perth and Wellington.

Why not you could always get players from NZ or England. You need to develop a lot more players in OZ outside of NSW and Qld.

Yes I think if they develop the game further. They will need to offer pay the same or better than AFL however maybe increase opportunitied. Crap is right however in that nrl can draw from overseas

in CQ there is a big push in Rockhampton for a side. Their council have backed their bid and state government has offered money for a new stadium to be built.
http://www.themorningbulletin.com.au/ne ... r/2112670/
as per usual the stadium will be built near the poke leagues club right on the Fitzroy river.
in theory a great idea
so as per usual tax payer money will be wasted on such rubbish, on a new NRL team but on a stadium built in a flood plain

http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/quee ... 6567078324
if any one is familiar with Rock Hampton, the Fitzroy river regularly floods and in the past decade the town it self has gone under a number of times and the area where the league club is has as well :thumbleft:

Simple answer is yes, but I personally think there should be entering a Perth side only and give teams another bye round. Plenty of juniors over there ready to go.

where will the 2 teams come from, they already tried perth and adelaide but got chased away with their tail between their legs. cant see a second team in melbourne or anymore teams in sydney

a second brisbane team would cut the broncos in half too #-o

Yeah, well the question was not who deserves or who will get or if any people turn up was it?

The question was "can the National Rugby League build two new teams?"

Answer "Of course it can, Rugby League is played outside of Australia from juniors right up to International level with young guys aspiring to play at the highest level in the best Rugby comp on Earth"

It's the AFL that's stuck on one rock only with no hope of building any more teams for the lonnnnng foreseeable future.

Actually it says "can they FIELD new teams", but thats by the bye. Theres more to putting a new team on the park than just players. Professional Teams dont just spring up from nowhere sinply because you have enough people who can play the game.
cough BS ** Melb Storm ** cough 8-[

put together in about a week
mainly with the remnants of the Hunter Mariners who were closed down as part of the Super League War peace agreement in Nov 1997

they are nothing short of a Miracle in Australian sporting success stories on field
possibly the best performed professional Australian sporting team in terms of performance since 1998 in any code
finals in their first year
a title in their 2nd

&
they literally sprung up outta the ground

Got to agree as to how awesome the storm are ... Now. When they started despite the gf win they were no where near the calibre of the talent they have grown since.

Id have thought new teams would need some sort of management and support infrastructure. But then again what would I know, maybe teams do just get picked and run out onto the park.

its how the NRL happens.... the teams are waiting for the crowds to turn up.
& the tax payer continue to foot the bill for the infrastructure & gaming licences

dude we can forward the clock to 2025 and the same shite will be happening

NRL government funded piece of shit        :thumbleft:
