Insights into the NSW RL Club in Sydney

Went along with KE to the NSW RL Club in Sydney last night to watch the Parramatta vs Manly game. Gee whiz, some interesting or some may say depressing insights to report. Staff at the club that I spoke to stated the club was broke and the NRL had no interest in seeing the club survive - being more interested in selling it off.
KE asked to watch the game on the big screen with volume but was told no... the band is first priority, despite only 2 people sitting in the room watching. Despite KE's objections that this was the NSW RL club and Parra were playing for a spot in the 8, his complaints fell on deaf management ears and KE was told to go downstairs and watch the game with a couple of other fans on a little tv mounted on the wall in an area names NSW Blues Headquarters. Poor KE.
I later ended up talking to an old timer about my love of the AFL and Swans. He said as a Sydneysider he too loved the Swans, but don't talk too loudly about it in this club as RL people are very jealous of the AFL as the No.1 code in Australia. He went on to say, you just gotta look at how great the AFL are in engaging with fans all across the country. Huge crowds and membership numbers that he said every RL fan was envious of particularly when watching RL games on tv in half filled stadiums. I always knew that much was always the case, just look at all the RL fans on this site. All full of hate for the AFL based on their insecurities and jealousy. Anyways, there you go, the NSW RL Club looks set to close soon. Gotta admit I felt for the old duck working behind the bar. She said she had been working their for years and was saddened just how little the NRL cares about having a club in Sydney.

Hahaha Bea always gets worried when the eels start doing well, he knows that when they are on the up, the swans get nothing in the media.
And if the eels are fighting for a GF spot, the swans and AFL's hope of outshining the NRL's big games will backfire.
hey bea, massive Ratings last night for the Mighty Parramatta aye?

Oh and how's KE's form, stuff going to the game when you can watch it on tv. Typical RL supporter. No passion or commitment to club.
Back on topic, how long before the NSW RL club closes it's doors for good?

Beaussies stories apparently occurred after half time while I was glued to a riveting game. Given the mans tendency for elaboration and lies I'd urge members to read his story as though it were a fairytale.

RL heartland

RL heartland ?
you were at a club in Elizabeth Street smack bang in the middle of the city ....
why would there be a lot of Parramatta or Manly fans in there ...

:_<> :_<> :_<> :_<>
& the NSW Leagues club has nothing to do with the NRL
never has
I mean seriously
you're thread failure rate is quite amazing
I can't recall one that had an ounce of validity

:_<> :_<> :_<> :_<> :_<> :_<>
as for your conversation with the old timer
looking in the mirror in the mens loo & talking to yourself doesn't count dickhead

i'll bounce for 90 minutes straight if it means providing a glorious atmosphere for my team and an intimidating one of the opposition
you can hear a pin drop in an nrl stadium in comparison
