The skill level should be better than this

I took the time to watch the AFL match last eve and gotta say I'm appalled by the lack of skill shown in front of goal week after week in this comp. I mean these are supposedly guys who are professionals. Blokes who should be able to kick goals from in front with their eyes closed. You don't see this sort of shit anywhere near as often in the NBA at the free throw line or in the nrl or union kicking for goal so why? Why the shit skills? It really destroyed the game last night, just a lack of professionalism by several players in front of goal. It was not so different to this lil recent ditty

Yes yes, at first dave I thought something like 'well you know there is some skill' but considering the basketcase league in the AFL and the fact that these sort of kicks for goal don't happen once in a blue moon but more like weekly...then I think 'well actually daves assertion is more accurate'. It's slightly sad to say but, I might need really think why I've taken the time to learn and support marngrook with this limited skill the pros display and the utter incompetence of its governing organisation.

So if there's no skill why arent you starring in the AFL? Why didn'y Izzy or KHunt dominate?

I never said there's no skill. There's just, unfortunately at the top level, a real lack, a real and presently glaring problem that players time and time again illuminate through their inability to kick straight. Khunt just didn't know positioning nor had the capacity to trot for long periods as he played and was used to an explosive fast paced power driven game. This isn't a lack of skill at all.
In fact if I recall correctly the first chance khunt got to slot a game winning kick he nailed it on the buzzer with ease. The AFL world blew a mass mutual loAd over a kick from almost straight in front 30metres out

another glaring example of the skill deficit in the AFL.
Comprehende nonrl?

So if the top level lack skill why arent you up there showing them how to do it? If its easy and all that

I can't remember Izzy or KHunt scoring every goal from a set shot. Why is that?

I think izzy and khunts %s would have been better than most AFL players. Now that's something we should all stand up and have a good hearty chuckle about

imagine that eh? Rl players with minimal to no experience kicking goals at a higher % than seasoned AFL campaigners
Prove me wrong bitches

prove me wrong!

So you make a ridiculous claim then demand people prove you wrong?
Oh well, here you go:
http://afltables.com/AFL/stats/players/ ... .html#best
K Hunt has kicked 6 goals 6 points in his career.
Charlie Dickson, your average AFL player for the SUNS, has kicked 53 goals 26 points. J Shultz has kicked 52 goals 15 points this year.
So you're wrong

Sorry but I just checked buddy franklins stats. Many of his seasons avg out at about a 60% success rating. Khunt at 50% is not far off one of the AFL's greatest

Be more of a skill if they could actually catch the ball before dribbling it between 4 sticks.

Yeah there's a lot of skill involved in hand balling a sneddon a large beach ball sized football and touching a line which is 68 m long by 10 m deep but our NRL players seem to drop the ball on a regular basis for a knock on or can't touch the ball over the try line - obviously manual dexterity is difficult for your average NRL player - I guess that's why most wear thongs and have clothing without zippers! Pot meet kettle!

Kicking at goal is probably Franklin's only weakness in his game, not to mention he usually goes for low percentage shots from 80m out on the run. Yet his accuracy is 10% higher than one of RL's better players.
Says it all actually. Cheers
