The first of ANY CODE and ANY CLUB in the whole of NSW that's right the WHOLE of NSW and you guessed it, THE SYDNEY SWANS have 40,000 members!!!!!!!!!

On the eve of tomorrow night’s blockbuster clash with Essendon at the SCG, the Sydney Swans are pleased to announce that the club has surpassed its membership target of 40,000 for the 2014 season.

It is the first time the club has reached the 40,000 mark and represents a significant increase from last season’s record total of 36,358, which was reached off the back of the 2012 premiership.

Sydney Swans CEO Andrew Ireland said it was a fantastic milestone to reach ahead of one of the club’s biggest home matches of the season.

“As a club we set a benchmark of 40,000 members for the 2014 season and to achieve that is a wonderful result,” he said.

The closest NRL club with 30,097 is almost 10k behind!!!!

And the snot green dole Bludging Canberra Braiders not even 10k less than a quarter of the Swanies - what a pathetic dole Bludging bunch of oxygen thief's!!!!!!

Epic. Swans almost doubling any other Sydney NRL clubs tally. That's like the Storm having 150k members. In reality they haven't even got 10% of that :_<>

Like to see it proved seeing as you don't get a breakdown of Viewers only in Sydney on Pay TV, but you flogs keep pretending they do, it's quite funny esp seeing as the FTA audience is usually below 50k.

yeah, just keep adding all those viewers from regionals and other capital cities to the swans Pay TV figures.
