Last night there were two NRL games and in ordinary course you would expect that the crowds would have eclipsed the AFL crowd - but did they???
Manly v Easts (GF Replay - Brookvale oval capacity 23k - live to tv - Number 1 billing)
17155 - pathetic
Broncos v Sharks (6th v 16th at Suncorp capacity 52500)
24285 - pathetic
Geelong v Essendon ( 4th v 9th ASADA issues all week, Cats on a downer after being beaten by the GC - Edihad stadium capacity 53359)
43732 - standard AFL match
Says it all really - it takes two to just get close!

Brookvales capacity is about 20,500
& an awful place to try & get to on a Friday night
80% full for the game there good effort
the Sharks hadn't scored a point in 3 games prior to last night ... running last & it was live on TV
why would anyone think that was worth the effort to attend
24K went
good effort
now for the VFL
Essenneedle & Geebunga kitties have over 100K members
couldn't even get half of them to the game

:_<> :_<> :_<>
oh de cwowds
de cwowds
& if Etihads capacity is 53K
how the hell did RL get 56K there a few years back ... & the Lions tour a few before that get 57K

>
do you know anything you dumb ***** ?

1st Brookvale oval is listed as a capacity in excess of 23k I was being generous, 2nd membership
Manly - 12627
Easts - 16583
Broncos - 27657
Sharks - 10713
Why is there a different standard Pissy pants?????? GF replay all media still can't get 20k, Broncos only show in town can't even half fill stadium???
Yep Pissy pants it still takes two and even then can't get more!!!?!? Hahaha

This season alone: SCG 41k, Adelaide oval 52k, Subiaco 40k
Yet Bribane Broncos get 25k and its a "good" crowd? Derp

because it was the the NRL that did the counting, and we all know that they like to fudge the figure to a lot more than where really there.
so they fudged the final figure so it was higher to the actual capacity of the stadium

Anyone who thinks Brookvale holds anywhere near 23,000 has rocks in their fucking head, dead serious here, if you believe Brookvale holds 23,000 people, you are a fucking IDIOT!
The place is packed like sardines with 15k in it.

Brookvale Oval is located in Brookvale, on Sydney's northern beaches. It is home to the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles Rugby League Club and has been since 1947.
Brookvale has three grandstands stretching the western and southern sides of the ground. The Jane Try Stand, running along the western side is the biggest of the three. It is also one of the few grandstands in major Australian stadia to be named after a woman. The Ken Arthurson stand in the south west corner, is the latest addition to the ground. It is named after the long serving Manly-Warringah, NSWRL and ARL administrator. The southern stand is elevated with standing room underneath. A large hill runs along the eastern and northern sides. The ground's capacity is around the 23,000 mark.

Tell me, if the ground holds 23,000, why haven't Manly had that many in since 1997?
22,746 was the last crowd anywhere near the so called mythical 23k capacity against parra.

Manly have won plenty of premierships since then and have played at capacity many times, but there is no way the place holds that many any more.
