Origin II was one of the worst games of rugby league

Felt the same when I tuned in. Boring as batshit and had me reaching for the remote control to change channels. Bash and barge and nothing more.
...we should pause for a moment to examine the game at ANZ Stadium for what it produced in sporting skill and entertainment.
We should also stop to think about a different audience in Melbourne next year and how it stacks up against their game, AFL.
Because, quite frankly, I thought Wednesday night’s contest was one of the worst games of rugby league I’ve ever seen.
Just 80 brutal minutes of niggle, rubbish and cheap shots.
The great Ray Warren observed at half-time:
“This crowd has had little to get excited about.”
The rest was bash, barge, hit-up, bash, barge, hit-up, bash, barge, hit-up.

most nrl games i watch give me that feel, brainless knuckleheads running straight at one a other
they used to do this stuff in the caveman days to prove who was the superior intellect, winner gets a banana
no tactics, next to no skill competed by average athletes

fumblers still foaming at the mouth about Origin
it has them all knotted up
4.2 Million TV veiwers .. another 84,000 at the ground
sure
it was a dog fight
a knock em down drag it out ... shit fight
but no one gave a fuck about how the result was achieved ..... just get the result
no one will remember how NSW won
just that we won =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
fumbleball simply cannot produce intensity in games like League does
with its weedy little tight shorts wearing players poncing around like wood elfs for 2 hours
theres no ferocity like there is in League
the shackles are off now ...the pressure valve released
the series decided
watch the players play RL at its care free best ... the ball will fly
this third game will be compulsory viewing
the fumbles & feebles simply cannot produce the theatre of origin .... &
they know it

Yet this "Boring game" is bigger & will be the most watched game out of RL & AFL this yr.
Your biggest bestest most exciting game of derpball is overshadowed by one of our BORING GAMES.

Just can't accept it can you RD - even Goild and Rabbits Warren were criticising the match with comments like "were in real danger here of a game of football breaking out!" After half time "I wish they would settle down and start playing football - that's what the fans are here for!" And these were channel 9 commentators - quiet a boring ol match!

It was a pretty average game especially compared to how good game 1 was. I expect game 3 to be a lot more open.
