Good Friday Football

Why no footy on Good Friday? Doesn't seem to be an issue for other codes right? Children's appeal in Melbourne is apparently an issue. If that's the case, play the game/s interstate. It's not as if us AFL supporters in NSW/ACT, QLD, SA, WA, NT, TAS care about the children's appeal. It's not even shown in our states.

Time for footy on Good Friday I say. Which teams will be playing is the big question.

The VFL played a game yesterday. Several leagues in country Victoria played games - including Ballarat. In Melbourne, Heatherton played Chelsea Heights yesterday. Keilor played Strathmore and Hillside played Taylors Lakes. Eltham played Greensborough. Hoppers Crossing played St.Albans. So I don't think the RCH Appeal is a hold back. In fact promoted correctly it can bump the Appeal proceeds up even more.

Is it that the AFL has some Christian thing going on?

Bring it in - I think with Gillon coming in it will happen but between who is the real question - my vote is North and WB

I think they'll go with a crowd puller if they do it, which counts out North and the Doggies.

Day needs a crowd puller but there has been a lot of talk in Vic that two smaller clubs should get the day and develop it into a big game - time will tell!
