When the NRL signed the last Tv contract we didn't have 7 programs in the top 40 nationally. Im sure it's something the networks will pay attention to next contract though . Likewise I'm sure the TV execs will note that the AFL only held 2.

Maybe slightly less maybe, that is your best case scenario. But Grant negotiated a % of Telstra's wiz bang app - the one that been downloaded 800 000 times since last April.

1.2m for a 16 team comp

1.25m for a 18 team comp with 2 expansion sides draining the coffers like no tomorrow.

Somehow i think our deal is far superior on the cash side of things.

Now when the NRL adds 2 more teams then you will see the cash rumbling in and you will weep my friend.......  :\: :\: :\: :\: :\:

Ill say it again because your apparently unable to comprehend it

The annual reports - which include the NZ deal (which was announced in march 2013, well within the 2013 Annual report window) - say otherwise. Until you can show me an official NRL document that says otherwise, your talking out your backside.

NRL Annual report : Broadcast Revenue $221.3m,

AFL Annual Report : Broadcast Revenue + AFL media Revenue = $234.4 .

diffeence of $13.1m ......AFL Broadcast revenue ??????????????????????????????????

It was part of the joint venture the two parties agreed to, as part of the rites deal, I have no dispute there, Its the amount of the deal I dispute - As does the Financial Review - as does Grant.

Grant is quoted in several articles, saying that the amount was double the previous deal. The previous deal was $90m and was for 6 years.

This article comes from an AFL chat site. I thought was interesting.
