News Flash: NZers play in the NRL.
Actually they will be playing in Melb this August against sides from GB, Sth Africa, USA, Canada, France, PNG, Ireland, Japan, India, Netherlands, Finland, etc etc - The fact that their not professionals doesn't alter the fact they will be a national side! As opposed to the Australian RL side where you don't have to be born in the country, reside in the country or be a citizen of the country - in fact if your an Australian RL player the opportunities are endless - you can play for Australia one WC, NZ the next, GB the next and when your washed up there's always the Cook Islands or the USA who will give you a free holiday to the host country! A farce in comparison to ICAF!pussycat wrote:NZ has an AFL team ? when are they playing Australia? or do they only play with themselves![]()

What's so funny Parra? Unlike RL players don't come from just 3 countries in IC14 - AF not into farces!ParraEelsNRL wrote:Hahahahahaha.
Look 214 I'm not saying it's on par with RL, RU, Soccer he'll even table tennis - but to claim it doesn't exist in NZ is not correct - I posted the above as proof of that and Parra no I'm not this Dil person I don't post on Bigfooty.214Four wrote:Swans i always pictured you as someone with at least half a brain (2/3rds more than COS), but obviously i was wrong if you believe the trippe you post like that shit above.

The level of participation has varied greatly.
Today the AFL is investing heavily in NZ and it's probable that the high level of participation will bolster those already playing.
AFL in NZ is ahead of rl in WA.

Funny stuff considering the WA Rugby League have a team playing in u18 national comp, they also have state teams at all age groups too, they also have a local competition.
All of these things suggests RL in WA is way bigger than anything the AFL has in NZ.
Here, have another drink.
214 I'm not saying AFL in NZ is anywhere near a presence as RU/RL or Soccer but to say it don't exist is not right - it is well down the pecking order but still exists - the list above proves because it is made up from many areas214Four wrote:Swans i always pictured you as someone with at least half a brain (2/3rds more than COS), but obviously i was wrong if you believe the trippe you post like that shit above.
On what basis??? Two NZ kids have been drafted recently so I guess NZ is ahead of WA then!ParraEelsNRL wrote:cos789 wrote:Yes, they play Australian Football in NZ. They have since the early days.
