Worst storm ever at the footy. Sadly a lot went home during extended qtr break drenched. It's was a crazy, scary storm. Explains numbers being down today. NRL will no doubt be affected today too.

BTW great game now that it is back on. GWS look good this season.

The crowd figure should not be affected by the storm ,it only hit after the game was well & truely underway.
If it pissed down 1/2-1 hr before it started it would be a valid excuse.

But nice theory anyway..

Only 2 teams in NSW & an ordinary crowd..

Where are all those 30K Swans members..

Dont they allow cats, dogs & goldfish in?

:(/

Bright sunshine & warm & humid.
10 minutes before the game started.. the rain didnt even look like falling til 15 minutes in... it had no effect on the crowd at all
.
It looked more threatening in melbourne for the storm game

11, 000

5500 freebies in that :_<>

Fuckin hilarious

You do understand a membership is only for home games right?

17k in that weather, puts the NRL to shame in their own heartland again

Dont try the fucking weather excuse.
As explained ,when the game began.it was fine.

So the only 2 teams in the whole of NSW could only get 17K.
:(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/
& combined there are suppossedly 50K members.
It is billed :_<> :_<> :_<> :_<> as the big Syd Derby.
The battle of the Bridge :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/
& that is all they got.
after all the talk of a sell out, etc.

That is fucking pathetic for a code who loves the CROWD arguement.

Now add to that all the free tickets given away and it is a shocker...........

Must add ticket prices were not to my liking as a Swans member. Thought it was very expensive starting at $39 for adults and $31 for concessions. The AFL should really look at ticket prices if you ask me.

Oh and rain had been predicted to hit late afternoon all week. You leaguies think fans don't take note of weather forecasts?

BTW, how many turned up for Sydney Roosters vs Parramatta. Storm had well and truly passed by game time right. Big win for eels last week. Surely a huge crowd right? Bigger than the AFL crowd in RL heartland?

Where are you leaguies? Do tell :(/ :(/ :(/

So you still can't understand that swans members don't get access to the giants home game as part of their membership? Whats wrong with you?

Oh and there's this thing called a wheat her forecast. Heard of it?

for starters
anyone who thinks 17K turned up is as blind as a bat
the fudging has started already with these orange slime bags

that would have required 3 out of every 4 seats to be filled
& that was quite clearly

not the case
so it was about 11K

& regardless
this was the VFL Sydney derby
big booby frankfurters first game ......

in the Tiny Sydney showground ..... & they couldn't even sell it out...in fact they couldn't HALF fill it ? 8-[

one of Sydney's marque VFL games
11,000 people turn up
& the NRL is embarrassed by this are they ? :-k

keep polishin that turd Xman
its far from shinin

far from it   :(/ :(/ :(/ :_<> :_<> :_<>

it was

13,500 at the NRL
& 11,000 at the battle of the Blurter

now tell me
were Sydney's League population waiting all summer long for the Roosters V Parra Clash last night ?
hell...were even Roosters & Parra fans that excited about it ? 8-[
no ?

but the battle of the Butthole
its the VFL's answer in Sydney to RL's State of Origin according to that learned VFL scholar Kevin Sneaky 8-[
its been described many times as

much anticipated :-k
it featured the salary cap cheating Swines big new marque signing .... Big Bubba Felcher
all of Sydney was abuzz about him according to your good self Bearsy 8-[
& you want to compare the 2 attendances last night ? :?>

straws being clutched by fumblers this morning folks
embarrassing
that's what last nights crowd was

it'd be like 35K turning up to an origin game at ANZ

11K
jesus 8-[
that's just hilarious    :(/ :(/ :(/ :_<> :_<> :_<> :_<> :_<> :_<>

You are full of shit RD, 13k for 2 syd nrl teams compared to 17k for 2 syd AFL teams...gws home crowd is reasonable, certainly better than the same day 13k nrl crowd.

Decades of establishment and history vs a defining juncture in the short history of gws.

Your diatribe is futile.
