his point dickhead is this
the states where Rugby League is the number one sport attract advertising revenue of over
1.2 Billion dollars annually
in comparison
the VFL states can only muster
865 million
50% more for the RL states
this is another reason why the NRL's media rights deal doubled in 2013
& why RL will never be headed again in the value of its broadcast rights by any sport in this country
read it & weep fumblers
read it
& weep

Then why did the NRL get less in their tv rights deal should have been 25% more than AFL's the reason is that certain regions don't generate the $ in advertising country areas in particular - there is many more factors to take into account - club memberships - crowds - participation of the populous. Picking one fact out and saying see there's the proof is not an argument. Anyways I really don't care as they don't pay my wage (either code) so I can like both which I do.

swans4ever you hit the nail on the head, the NRL deal should of been higher than the AFL's seeing that league is the dominate code in NSW & QLD, with the continued expansion of those markets from the AFL it will only continue to grow.
the next set of broadcast rights will be interesting because changing of the times, the overall TV revenue is slowly declining, because people are now, using online media content, internet, touch phones & tablets, to get their sources of entertainment
