yeah ...looks like its ova 30,000.
& as you say
the venue has never had the fullhouse sign up since the fumbles & bumbles infested it in the late 90's
not once
not ever
even in the days the kitty kats won 3 contrived manipulated premierships

:_<> :_<>
Union filled it in 2001 for the Lions tour 42,000
Soccer filled it for the Sydney Olympics in 2000... 42,000
& Cricket has filled it numerous times 39,000 being capacity for cricket.
RL has never been played there but would of course hold all records for attendances there .. if it had
like it does at every other main sports venue in Brisbane
again
the Fumbles n bumbles irrelevant north of the murray

Why not? Afraid the NRL can't hold its own in its own heartland? Of course, let's ignore Sydney's NRL crowds...they're shameful after all.

The Gabba hosted several Football matches during the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games including the quarter-final between Brazil and Cameroon in front of 37,332 fans.
Rugby League holds the attendance record at the venue with 47,096 people attending a 1954 Test Match between Australia and Great Britain. The highest cricket crowd is 39,874 for a one day international between Australia and South Africa in 2006 while the highest AFL crowd is 37,224 in 2005 for a match between Brisbane Lions and Collingwood.

Biggest AFL crowd is 37,000 (approx). I call that packed out. Not full to the brim - true - but still packed.

5 thousand short of capacity in a town where rl dominates is pretty good surely. The fact we are even comparing AFL crowds with nrl crowds in nrl heartland shows how far AFL has come . Massive back fire for this post.

I'd like to see what the attendance figure is for the cricket tonight. If it's less that 37,000 then the meat puppet will have to admit that the Gabba was packed out when it pulled that amount for the Lions and Collingwood.

Regardless, they are still drawing good crowds in rl heartland. Suns are growing and getting almost identical crowds too and I suspect will out draw the titans this year re crowds.
