The only fear I have from rugby league is that it breeds violence for the sake of violence.

international RL is growing well. Compare fiji in just 2008, 52-0 loss to Aus. they play them next week in the semi final . I can bet it'll be a far better scoreline highlighting the increasing competitiveness of the minnows of RL. Which all sports have, aus are minnows in soccer world cup for example.

the demise happened in the 1940's when RU banned RL as it had all the power. Only in the last 10-20 years has it begun to resurge.

Look I never said they shouldn't hold it just didn't believe some of the countries should be there - but hay my opinion doesn't matter as ultimately it's the fans that decide what they like, so if you all the power to you.
